Dr. Black, a native Texan, completed undergraduate training at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed an internship and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, including a year of service as Chief Resident. In 2006, he was named Fellow of the Year after completing an accredited fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
